What do you think of the name chloe? Honest opinions please. Our baby is as yet unnamed and we can’t agree

It's ok but I prefer Cleo which is quite similar to Chloe

Flamingosnbears · 15/06/2018 07:45

If you like it it and agree go for it.

Cleo /Cleodie is another to consider...

Katjolo · 15/06/2018 06:45

Lovely name

Pompom42 · 14/06/2018 13:38

I only know of one around here. There are a lot of 20-30 year olds named Chloe.
It's nice depending on accent. I don't like it pronounced with the Liverpool accent.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/06/2018 13:32

I think Chloe is lovely, of how about Clover ?

gracielacey · 14/06/2018 11:22

I prefer Zoe. Chloe seems a bit chavvy to me.

daisypond · 13/06/2018 20:46

I like it. The only two I know are in their 20s.

RhinoGirl · 12/06/2018 23:30

Bias* bloody phone

RhinoGirl · 12/06/2018 23:29

My DD is called Chloe so naturally I am biased 😁

SarahBeeney · 12/06/2018 23:22

Lovely name. I like Clio/Cleo as well.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 12/06/2018 23:13

I think it is a nice name. Maybe a little dated but in a good way as there won't be loads and loads of baby Chloes now.

TempleOfBlooms · 12/06/2018 23:11

Lovely

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 11/06/2018 17:05

I do like the name but agree that it's dated sadly.

Mollie85 · 11/06/2018 16:55

As another poster said - pretty but unremarkable... in the 90s, about four of the kids I babysat were Chloe’s, so I feel it’s a bit dated, but if you love it- use it Grin

cptartapp · 11/06/2018 16:19

Pretty but rather dated.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 11/06/2018 16:16

Love it!

BorisHair · 11/06/2018 16:08

I don't dislike it but I know 3 x Chloes in DC's year at school, 1 x grown up Chloe and 2 x Chloe cats so it's popular here.

Pemba · 11/06/2018 15:49

It's a lovely name. Just because it was ultra-popular 20-30 years ago doesn't stop it being lovely. Much nicer than some of the names that are so popular now, eg. Isla, Florence.

MatildaLovesBooks · 11/06/2018 15:47

Very bland and stuck in the 90s (sorry).

bellanotte22 · 11/06/2018 15:46

There's a lot of Chloes where I live. This alone would put me off but it has a lovely meaning so if you love it, go for it.

FrogPie · 11/06/2018 15:46

Great name, OP ;)

spotspot · 11/06/2018 15:44

I really like it. My friends baby is called Chloe and it's brilliant. I find it refreshing: I don't know any child/baby Chloes apart from her.

Sophronia · 11/06/2018 15:40

It’s a bit 90s.

MollyHuaCha · 11/06/2018 14:52

As a pp said, it's nice in some accents and not nice in others.

I like it in my own accent. Try out the name yourself in these accents:
RP
Estuary
Manchester
Liverpool
Edinburgh
Glasgow
Cornish
Southern Wales
New York
Mississippi
California
French person speaking English
German person speaking English

Peachbubble · 11/06/2018 14:47
