Help us pick from out top three!

We've managed to narrow it down to these three but baby's due in a week and we still can't decide for the life of us.

  • Sunshine
  • Symphony
  • Seawillow

I know they're not MN Approved names but hoping some people on here will have similar taste.

We already have a Honeybee and a Starling.

Seawillow is not even a nice word. It is clunky and looks like it should be two separate words, sea willow.

Willow. If it is a girl.

Sonny / Sunny is ok for a boy (sounds same, not my cup of tea but infinitely better than Sunshine.)

I think you are having a laugh with this thread.
They all sound like adorable names for guinea pigs so if you are a mum to guinea pigs then I think any of these would be lovely.
Otherwise don’t know why you’d set your child up for a lifetime of people making assumptions about them and taking the piss. Although it’s really wrong that people do this, th e worlds a harsh place and sadly that’s what happens when your parents give you a name that sounds like a pet.

None of them for a boy.
Not my style of names, but for a girl, Sunshine is OK as a middle name in a hippy sort of way.
Symphony - for a girl middle name. If you can have Aria, I don't see why you can't have Symphony.
Seawillow is just odd. It's surely two words - sea willow.

I'd go for seawillow, I actually really like it and as willow is very popular right now it doesn't seem as unusual for use as a name as the other two. However, I would not use it for a boy. Regardless of your own thoughts on gender (which I also feel quite strongly about) I think it is really important to remember that you are not naming a child that will live in isolation within your own family unit, they will have to go out into society and live with that name - as far from the ideal as that is, it's the truth and I would urge you to consider the reality for your child and the response and experiences they will have in life as a result of it. I understand your own reasoning but it isn't about you, it's about your child.

Seawillow is also one of those words which looks a lot better written down than said!

You say words differently when they're used as a name.

Just saying Seawillow in conversation, you'd automatically split it into the two words it actually is, when talking about the plant. Sea willow.

As a name... she'll be Seewulo.

Say it a few times as if you're calling her in from the garden. Or from the bottom of the stairs.

It doesn't work.

Sunshine of the three...

Seawillow isn't great, she will probably just use Willow as she gets older though so no massive harm done.

Soraya is a gorgeous name Cosmoa

I think we're going to go with Seawillow Smile

To the pp that ask, it's a type of coral that can be made into gorgeous beads and jewellery.
I think if we do use Seawillow I think I'll look into wether they're responsibly sourced and maybe get baby a little bracelet of seawillow beads.

Actually as middle names sound nice.
Cosmoa I particularly like your combination as middle names, but Soraya is lovely anyhow.
