Found out DC2 will be a boy Smile
Very excited but it means we have to disregard our long list of girls names and start thinking about boys names which, for some reason, we've found much trickier. We already have one DC who is Esme so would ideally like something that sounds nice with her name.

To give you an idea of what we might like:

Ned (vetoed by DH because of Game of Thrones)
Seth (like it but don't love it)
Gabriel (same as Seth)
Ezra (can't use)
Joel (again like but don't love it)
Noah (doesn't work with last name)
Gene (vetoed by DH)
Alec (doesn't work with last name)

There were 5 girls in my year at school with the same name as me so would like to avoid anything too overused!

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

How About Nico? Pronounced Nee-ko
Either on it's own or short for Nicholas.

I agree Isaac is a lovely name but some good friends of ours already have an Isaac so would feel a bit weird.

We both like Nathaniel- that's definitely going on the list Smile

Minister - your dh is ridiculous. Not everyone watches coronation street! I certainly don't.

I know! He doesn't even watch it! I think he mentioned that we liked the name to a friend/colleague or something and they brought the storyline up. I told him this is why you don't discuss names with people!

Love Gabriel.

I'm also stuck for boys' names. From those suggested, I like Jude and Sebastian.

All your names feel very 'on trend'. Seth is the only one I really like. Go with an underused classic as per pp. How about Nicholas, Nick for short? David is a lovely name and hardly ever used these days.

I agree with a PP that Isaac goes well. Or for a less well-known biblical name, Asher?

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 09/06/2018 08:08

I really like Aiden but DH is worried people will associate it with suicide now because of Coronation Street.

Another vote for an underused classic.
Kit is likely to be quite popular.
From your list, I only like Alec.

BabyItsAWildWorld · 08/06/2018 19:40

Kit?

FairfaxAikman · 08/06/2018 19:38

Underused classics like Peter, Simon, Thomas, Marcus, Andrew, Henry, Daniel, Michael...?
