Okay, here's a riddle for you:

There are types of spiders and types of trees,
There are types of moon, one of which is me,
My first fancies Elizabeth if not too shallow,
My second is found in bats as well as in sparrows.

finallychangedmyusername · 16/11/2018 20:29

Thanks @DuggeeHugs, he's currently chattering and gurgling away so I'm hoping I'm in for a better night tonight! Grin

Spot on! The final clue was supposed to be Jackson (Jack being a nickname for John) but yep, Johnson works too.

Over to you @thepoorestoftherichteabiscuits! Grin

thepoorestoftherichteabiscuits · 16/11/2018 16:24

Michael? (Bolton, Schumacher, Johnson?)

finallychangedmyusername · 16/11/2018 15:44

Not Chester. I realise now that my clue might not make total sense. It's a first name that links the three clues. And the three clues each refer to namesakes. Each namesake has the same first name so the clues are to their surnames. Hope that makes more sense, apologies. (I blame my sickly baby who wouldn't let us sleep last night)...

DuggeeHugs · 16/11/2018 14:58

Chester?

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 15/11/2018 23:10

Nice clue @DuggeeHugs!

Hopefully a nice easy one now:

This first name is shared by an
English town, a speedy cobbler and John's offspring.

DuggeeHugs · 15/11/2018 21:36

Ferdinand it is!

Timely: Ferdinand Foch was the supreme allied commander who signed the armistice in 1918.

Ferdinand Magellan was the navigator and also travel/journey as the meanings of the name.

Ferdinand was also the Disney film about a bull. So I'm told.

@finallychangedmyusername is up next Smile

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 15/11/2018 20:26

Ferdinand?

DuggeeHugs · 14/11/2018 23:04

It is more continental

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 14/11/2018 11:28

Hadwin or Hedwin?

DuggeeHugs · 13/11/2018 20:06

A recent depiction of this name could be found among cattle
