Santa and luella

I really like the name Santa (Spanish name) and luella... I also like Tabitha james.

I can't decide! Please don't post to be negative. Just move on.

OP people have raised many good points on this thread, sometimes as parents we need to take a step back and realise that regardless of our own personal taste it’s the child that has to live with the name.
Call your daughter James if you like, but recognise it is not a unisex name. Just because someone has used it on a female does not make it unisex. If I named my son Isabella, Isabella would not automatically be considered unisex.

James is not a unisex name! Please don’t call her that. I agree with everyone about Santa being unwearable in the uk. Louella, spelt properly, is lovely. Tabitha is meh to me.

James is not unisex, Jaime is. It would just sound like you were copying Blake Lively.

Having other children take the piss out of your name constantly is not empowering. It's the opposite.

Santina is lovely.

Tabitha is lovely.

James - another potential aspect for bullying.

Luella - it's a doll brand isn't it?

Tabitha or Luella for me. Without the James, as I really can't see why you would give a girl a name that is definitely a boy's name.

Tabitha Jane or Luella Jane might work.

Santa is just ridiculous, and I think it will invite taunts throughout school. I wouldn't do that to a child.

Luella is a bit too cutesy for me, but it's a lovely name that works well in the UK I think. Also Lou is a nice nickname.

Tabitha just makes me think of a cat.

Santa is a lovely name, but doesn't work in the UK. People just associate it with Father Christmas. The child would get made fun of with the name Santa.

I really think Santa would be cruel in the UK. Kids will make fun of her. Also, think what happens when you hear your name said out loud. You automatically react in some way, it's a reflex action. Can you just imagine Christmas time - and how many times teachers/kids/anyone mentions Santa? Your poor DD will be a nervous wreck!

I wouldn't use Santa if you are living in an English speaking country. It is completely linked with Father Christmas.

I though, in Spanish it was 'Saint', which seems a bit of a title to give someone - bit hard to live up to I'd have thought.

Tabitha is not a name I particularly like, but that is only personal taste, however, I cannot understand why you'd then want to give her a boys name to go with it Confused

Of your list, Luella is the best, IMO.

I stand corrected if you know some, I'm spanish and have never met or come across one myself. I wouldn't know about Italy.
Having read your post I understand why you would choose it, but I still wouldn't understand why use it in the UK where it would make your child an easy target.
