‘India’ Alternatives

All hypothetical, as currently TTC, but interested in opinions.

OH likes India for a girl, but as it’s the name he put forward for his first daughter with ex-wife, it’s not high on my list. I don’t object to it, but it’s much more to her taste than to mine.

I like Nancy and Saffron, he’s not into either.

Any suggestions. I’d prefer less common names: no Olivias, Megans, Evies etc

Well, I suppose it depends why he likes it. Does he like the meaning? Maybe names like Sienna or Savannah or Sky would work. Or does he like the sound of the name? Then Isabella or Imogen or Elena or Iona or Ianthe might be better.

Asia?
I loved India too but I had a boy.
I really don’t think it should be a problem. The child will be yours and his.

I really like Mara, I remember a character in the ‘Fight Club’ movie, Marla, and thinking that was pretty too.

Erin is already taken in the family, but I would have had it on the list (still might, although she’s a bit obnoxious!)
Never heard of Idony (I done it?), but not keen, nor Eamona or Indira (indira was a male consultant at the first hospital I mursed in, its male in Asia I think)
