Blossom or Dolly

I know these names won't be everyone's cup of teas but I have a 3 year old daughter named Heidi Rose and I really love how Dolly sounds with Heidi , 'Heidi and Dolly' but ever since I was a teenager I have had a huge love for the name Blossom.. what do you think? Smile

And the names beautiful should actually read, "And the names Comfort and Precious are beautiful."

Yes, I too know a Precious and a Comfort. If you put the names on paper (or MN), you'd be like Confused.
But reality is so very different... so very 'real' so it is. And the names beautiful... and so are they. Comfort is her name in every way, as is Precious.
I like Dolly, OP.
I like Bonnie. That was a name I wanted to use.

I know a adult Blossom and her sister is named precious... they love their names!

I don't like either, sorry OP! Personally I can't imagine a doctor/lawyer/PM with either of those names. I like be your DD's name though, Heidi is lovely. I wouldn't worry too much about matching their names as other than family occasions they'll be their own people and likely not be by each other's sides forever.

I really like Dorethea and Thea. I think blossom could work well as a MN with a more formal first name.

I've known one 'Dolly' who was a little old lady, Dorothy on her birth certificate.

The names might sound cute when little but as an adult they sound silly!

I think “dolly bird” would put me off using Dolly.

Blossom makes me think of Blossom Dearie, the jazz pianist and singer, which is quite a nice association.

You're having a baby not sponsoring a cow! This child will one day be an adult and have to put that on a CV. Would you be able to take Ms Blossom Lastname seriously? Or Dr Blossom Lastname? Come on, OP.

Are you naming a child or a farm animal? At least have Dorothy on the birth certificate and use Dolly as a nick name. Blossom is awful.

Sorry, I’m not keen either! Both sound very saccharine sweet, and I don’t think either will wear very well as an adult. Heidi is lovely though.

Such beautiful name so, although if I had to pick I'd go for Dolly (I know a Dolly and she's so lovely, it sways my opinion!)

Dolly Parton is 72. Grin

My friend's little girl is called Dolly and it really suits her. Neither name for me but it's not my LO.

@MissDollyMix thank you so much! And there will be , all the 'unusual' names will be the normal names for example like now the normal adult names are things like Chloe , Danielle , Cheryl , Michelle... they will all be 'Dolly' 'blossom' 'thea' xxx

Going against the grain, I love both! All the people saying you have to name a 40 year old woman forget that by the time today’s babies are 40, there will be a whole host of middle aged women with weird and wonderful names.

@WhatAMess123 we must have the same taste in names😂 absolutely love the name honey however I can't warm my boyfriend up to it at all Heidi was going to be a honey until I told him I wanted it and his face dropped🤣 thank you so much! Xx
