I'm amazed at the love for Miles here. I am in the "posh try-hard" camp, don't like it at all.

I prefer Milo

sonnyboo · 22/05/2018 12:22

It's too metric for me. Like calling your child Kilometres!

LooseyInTheSky · 21/05/2018 20:37

John Legend and Chrissie Teigen had a Miles this weekend.

Anditstartsagain · 21/05/2018 20:36

I was just coming to say about Chrissie Teigen it might have a popularity surge.

daisypond · 21/05/2018 20:34

Yes, really like it.

buttercup54321 · 21/05/2018 20:15

Very nice.

Igneococcus · 21/05/2018 20:15

dd has just informed me that Chrissie Teigen has called her new baby Miles.

mendelssohn19 · 21/05/2018 19:44

I did like it but my dnephew started rhyming stuff with it when I suggested it

Sessy19 · 21/05/2018 18:47

There’s a ‘Miles’ in Made in Chelsea (guilty!) I wouldn’t have thought the ‘try too hard’ clique would include it with their Montys, Georges, and Harrys...

Jemimapuddleduk · 21/05/2018 14:01

Adore it.

AmazingPostVoices · 21/05/2018 13:55

Since when did Miles become “posh try hard?” It’s a perfectly ordinary name.

DrinkYourGreenTea · 21/05/2018 13:45

It’s okay. A bit posh-try hard IMO.

userabcname · 21/05/2018 13:01

Definitely could have Milo for a nn (which is what I would do if I chose Miles).

AmazingPostVoices · 21/05/2018 12:49

It’s a great name

TheFatkinsDiet · 21/05/2018 12:47

Milo can definitely be a nn for Miles imo.

Iplaythetriangle · 21/05/2018 12:45

I really wanted Milo but DP didn’t. Could Milo be a nn for Miles? If so I think that’s made my mind up 100%!

Miles is more traditional, Myles has Irish roots. Either spelling looks fine and it’s such a lovely, underused boy’s name.

Blondie87 · 21/05/2018 12:13

Love it! Particularly spelt ‘Miles’ but either way it’s a great name.

userabcname · 21/05/2018 11:18

Love it!

QueenofSerene · 21/05/2018 11:16

I love Miles, it’s one of my sons middle names (albeit spelt Myles as it’s a family name so I stuck with that spelling) and I’ve met a handful of lovely men named Miles too.

thetriangleisarealinstrument · 21/05/2018 11:14

I really like that name!

MammieBear · 21/05/2018 11:14

Good choice

TheFatkinsDiet · 21/05/2018 11:13

I love Miles and quite like Milo as a pet name.

Iplaythetriangle · 21/05/2018 10:39

Yes Secret I wasn’t sure which spelling I prefer either. Which is the more traditional way?

I love it
