Boy or girl name in your opinion?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I know a girl and a boy both called Eden. Both under 3.

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 20/05/2018 11:58

I know 2 girls called Eden - pronounced ee-din. The only male with the name that I know of is the footballer also Eden but pronounced Eh-dan.

RosieCotton · 20/05/2018 11:54

My daughter is called Eden. For a boy its normally spelt Edan. Id say its definitely a girls name.

BertrandRussell · 20/05/2018 11:22

432 girls and 141 boys last year.

playftseforme · 20/05/2018 11:18

I know a boy and a girl. But the 'boy' is late 20s whereas the girl is 11, so I think of it now as more a girl's name

strawberrypenguin · 20/05/2018 11:17

Girl. It's not a name I'd choose though

BertrandRussell · 20/05/2018 11:16

Neither. Garden only.

catalinablue · 20/05/2018 11:14

It seems more like a girl's name to me, however I have known both a boy and girl Eden. They were pronounced differently though - as Ee-din for a girl versus Eh-den for a boy. The opposite of a pp, funnily enough. Grin

RJnomore1 · 20/05/2018 11:07

The one I know is a girl

LionAllMessy · 20/05/2018 11:04

I’ve always considered it to be a boy's name.

HeyDolly · 20/05/2018 11:03

I’ve always considered it to be a girl’s name.

guiltynetter · 20/05/2018 10:05

girl but i wouldn’t be surprised if it was a boy, i think it’s unisex

Jammiebammie · 20/05/2018 10:04

I know 2 girls called Eden, I wouldn’t have considered it being a boys name tbh but I suppose it could be.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 20/05/2018 10:03

Either - I know both (ee-din as a boy and eh-den for a girl). I think for girls it’s a Jewish name.

Paisley8880 · 20/05/2018 10:02

Girl

Pudding01 · 20/05/2018 10:02

Unisex. But to me it sounds more feminine Smile

melodybirds · 20/05/2018 10:01

I knew a girl

Frosty66612 · 20/05/2018 09:58

Could be either but i’d Lean more towards a boy’s name
