Which is your favourite? And what sort of person do you picture with each name?

Verity, it's lovely.

I really dislike Heidi & I'm not mad on Ottilie.

crazycoconut · 18/05/2018 23:25

I have a Verity, I get lots of compliments on her name Smile

JanuaryJuniper · 18/05/2018 23:19

Ottilie without a doubt, beautiful!

MrsCD67 · 18/05/2018 23:13

Verity

RavenLG · 18/05/2018 23:11

Heidi reminds me of that plastic monstrosity from the hills. Brassy blonde and fake boobs will do anything for attention.

Verity could either be quite nerdy or alternative.

I can’t even pronounce the other one

shirleyschmidt1 · 18/05/2018 23:11

Love Heidi!! Don't like Ottilie or Verity

InkSnail · 18/05/2018 23:10

Verity is nice without the froufrou effect.

Ragusa · 18/05/2018 23:07

Heidi by a country mile.

Verity is perfectly nice and has a good meaning.

loathe Ottilie. Frilly, froufy aspirant middle-class nightmate.

Heidi will be friendly, attractive, and plough her own slightly uncoventional furrow. She will posaibly have a few discreet piercings and be into slightly obscure bands.

Verity will be very self-assured and successful in life. Practical and pragmatic, solid family, probably well-eduvated. Kind and accepting.

Ottilie will be gorgeous in Toddlerhood with tumbling ringlets: everyone will describe her as 'adorable' but then she will morph into a devil teen and/or take to wearing platform hobnail boots and dyeing her hair flat black as a protest.

Heidi

Heidi

I like Tilly but Ottillie is too frilly and lacy. Verity is nice but there's no obvious short form there. Veree?

CocoLoco87 · 18/05/2018 22:56

Heidi eats a lot of cheese and has a fondness for goats.

Ottilie is born and raised in Chelsea. She won't need to go to university. She will live off the family money.

Verity is strong, dependable and kind.

PlatypusPie · 18/05/2018 22:56

I do like Ottilie - would have been odd with our surname but I think it is charming. My neighbours daughter is Verity and is clever, beautiful and kind ( the good fairy really handed out all the gifts there)so I have good associations with the name but I am not sure I would choose it otherwise. It seems a bit of a brittle name.

Heidi - if flaxen plaits and a head for heights can be guaranteed , maybe. Otherwise, no.

Earmuffs · 18/05/2018 22:56

I have a Heidi.

We don't know anyone else with her name and she gets lots of compliments for it.

summermeadows · 18/05/2018 22:54

Heidi is definitely my favourite.

Everything @bridgetreilly said is what'd I say too.

immortalmarble · 18/05/2018 22:52

I like them all. Verity is probably my favourite. I like ottilie a lot and Heidi is sweet but probably my least favourite out of the three.

RedDwarves · 18/05/2018 22:50

Can't say I'm fussed on any of them, honestly.

Probably Ottilie, if I had a gun to my head.

bridgetreilly · 18/05/2018 22:49

Heidi.

Verity strikes me as plain, quite clever but not brilliant, and rather old-fashioned.

Ottilie is a precocious princess whose parents sign her up for horseriding, ballet and violin lessons from the age of 3.

Heidi is normal.
