Longer name for Kit

JessSims · 18/05/2018 13:24

4th boy baby name!

Like Kit/Kitt but would like him to have a longer name but one that starts with K-I-T e.g Kitson. Anyone got anything??

(Siblings are Archer, Rafferty and Farran)

Thanks! Xx

Kit is also a nn for Kristian.

TheFatkinsDiet · 18/05/2018 22:21

Well yes, it’s obviously short for Christopher and has been for ages.

I’ve also heard of Kester being shortened to Kit and also Christian.

Can’t think of any names which start with Kit. You could just call him Kit.

Hopingnwishing · 18/05/2018 21:25

I can't think of any boys names beginning with k that aren't a bit chavvy round here. So call him Christopher with kit as the diminutive ( It's NOT a nickname)

MissBartlettsconscience · 18/05/2018 18:53

My kit is Katherine. Probably doesn't help much...

missbonita · 18/05/2018 18:52

It's a traditional nn for Christopher - I have taught a few of them :)

MyKingdomForBrie · 18/05/2018 18:50

Oh I was so hoping for some serious answers to this! I love Kit but I hate Christopher and I can’t bring myself to use Kit as the full/only name.

sonnyboo · 18/05/2018 18:46

Kitto
Kittian

Christopher often becomes Chris, it's the natural shortening

Lou0390 · 18/05/2018 17:53

I was going to suggest Kitchener too - it's pretty non-standard but might work well with your set.

Theducksarenotmyfriends · 18/05/2018 17:42

What about it ending in kit? Like Beckett for example?

Jammiebammie · 18/05/2018 17:40

I know a Kester who gets called Kit (although I think Kester is actually a nn for Christopher too)
I can’t think of any boys names beginning with ‘kit’ that don’t sound daft. Either use it on its own or as an abbreviation of Christopher/Christian

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 18/05/2018 17:39

Like they said - it's short for Christopher. Anything else, you'd have to make up yourself. Kitbert?

Sophronia · 18/05/2018 17:31

Kitto is a Cornish name.

I guess he could be Christian or Cristiano or something, just as easily as Christopher.

Obviously it's usually short for Christopher. You could spell Christopher with a K. Only other name I can think of is Kitch or Kitchener.

Remote1candles · 18/05/2018 15:25
