Names you love but could never use

Just for fun, what names do you love, but can’t use for whatever reason?

I really love Zelda, after Zelda Fitzgerald, but I feel they’d be teased because of the video game.

Anais is also cute. But I foresee lots of issues with pronounciation, and it kind of looks like anus!

Augustus - loved it for a little boy. But I feel people will forever associate it was Augustus Gloop.

I've always liked the name Harrison. I could never use it because it sounds to 'sing songy' with our last name. It's also become so popular I didn't want DS to be one of ten in his class Grin

Angelo and Raphael (a name along those lines eventually though)

Shiloh (for a boy) vetoed because it’s a ‘dogs name’ and Jolie-Pitt.

Alba, too much like albatross according to DP.

Ophelia- like it, just think it’s a bit too try hard, same for Evangeline.

I really like the sound of the classical name Urban, but I'm pretty sure most people hearing it would not realise it used to be a name and think we were trying to be trendy and new.

I recently met a Nectarios and fell in love with the name, but I think it's a bit too out there for me to use!

Same with Dionysia for a girl.

namethatchange it’s funny cause Seren which means Star is quite a popular girls name in Wales, much more than Star is in England

I loved Ptolemy for a boy for the way it sounds (Tol-uh-mee) but the spelling would cause so many problems!

I’ve always loved Ciorstaidh (pronounced Kirsty) it’s a Gaelic name but can imagine the mispronouncing and the spelling would be a nightmare 😭

I LOVE Malachi but made the mistake of telling people and I had some pretty strong comments involving goblins and the similarity there of.

Aylarose I used one of those names instead although we use the less posh pronunciation
