You might be thinking of Emmerdale Farm Pixel. Our dog is called Amos after Amos the publican from Emmerdale. He was a bit of a grumpy git and the name was because his parents were 'chapel raised', so I'm guessing Methodists.

I have a friend called Amy. Everyone calls her Amos!

I love it. My friend's teeny weeny newborn is an Amos. I think it's fantastic.

Makes me think of tweed jackets and flat caps. Was there an Amos in Last of the Summer Wine? I’ve never met one, but it’s definitely an uncool old man’s name .

I don't know anyone called Amos, I don't think. It always makes me think of an old knock knock joke to be honest!
