What are the funniest names you've heard of?

I once worked with a person who'd gone to school with a girl called Myrtle Turtle. I have never stopped loving that.

Any others?

(Not in the spirit of taking the piss out of people's choices, more in the sense of acknowledging parents' genius)

Husband has told me about a boy in his school - James Bates. It was always a challenge for the other boys to shout ‘master!’ in the middle of his name whenever it was called out in class... Grin

I had a co-worker called Cameo, as in a lady's brooch. Although unusual it really suited her as she was a lovely person.

Our local dentist in S E London was Dr. Payne.
