Please could I have your comments on the baby girl names below? As with our last DC, we are struggling to make a decision and I don't want this to drag on and on... we have an unusual surname too which doesn't help! In no particular order:

Clara (DH not keen)
Thea (DH not keen, I'm unsure of correct pronunciation but love it anyway)
Leonora (feel like it's too unusual and will get misspelt)
Adriana (love it but does it sound a bit harsh or maybe even pretentious?)
Mia (feels a bit weak)
Erin (love this but DS is Ryan so don't know if they sound too similar)
Ava (maybe too popular)
Ella (maybe too popular)

OP posts:

I like Adriana, Leonora and Erin. I don't think Erin is too similar to Ryan. Adriana defo not harsh. Leonora isn't too hard to spell - you might get Leanor but that's all, and easy to correct as she'll just say "No, le-O-nor-A".

Love Erin. It sounds fine with Ryan.

Mannix · 10/05/2018 14:48

I love Clara and Thea, but obvs if DH not keen you have to listen to him too!).
Not keen on Leonora or Adriana.
Love Erin. I think Ryan and Erin sounds fine.
Mia, Ava and Ellie are all v popular around here.

Adriana or have u thought about Ariana?

TatianaLarina · 10/05/2018 14:47

Leonora. Not too unusual at all and a straightforward spelling.

Ella Ava and Mia are too overused.

itallhappensforareason · 10/05/2018 14:47

Adriana is gorgeous.

Ouch44 · 10/05/2018 14:45

Is Mia not popular any more? There are 3 in my DD dance class! Its a lovely name which is why I chose it!

Know an Erin its a lovely name. Leonora will get shortened to Leo

MrsMozart · 10/05/2018 14:39

Knew a Leonora. Lovely lass.

Like Adriana. Don't think it's harsh at all.

Erin would be fine if you love it. It syncs with Ryan.

TroubledLichen · 10/05/2018 14:33

Love Adriana!

Sophronia · 10/05/2018 14:29

Leonora is my favourite

steppemum · 10/05/2018 14:18

Adriana is a name in my (Dutch) dh's family, they use the nn Ria which is nice. I do think it sounds a bit harsh.
Leonora - I love this and know an adult with this name at it works really well. My only hesitation is that it does sound very like Lenor fabric conditioner.
Looking at your list, how about Thalia?
Ava and Ella are REALLY popular.

GreenStars · 10/05/2018 14:11

Leonora is lovely
