Girls’ names - sister for Harriet

Only 9 weeks pregnant, but if I like these names...what else might I like. I know it might be a boy but focussing on girls for now!

Middle name would be Rosemary.

  • Connie (I’m not overly keen on Constance but also wouldn’t really want to put a nickname as her full name on birth certificate). But I love Connie.
  • Tabitha (too much?)
  • Abigail (just really like Abi as a nn)
  • Anna (love it - DH says no)
  • Clara
  • Flora (love it - apart from the spread connotations!)
  • Vivienne
  • Catherine (DH likes - I’m a bit meh about it)

So, thoughts on the above please and any more to add?

Thanks!

I love lots off of your list, and really like Rosemary. My favourites are Connie, Tabitha and Clara. I think you could have Connie as an outright name. Other suggestions:

Raya
Sabine
Honor
Liberty
Ailsa

  • rest of your list

I knew someone called Connie and it wasn't short for anything. Nickname names are more acceptable these days and I think Connie is one of those where it works. If not, and you still don't like Constance, there is Cornelia or Constantina, both of which can be shortened to Connie. Maybe Corinne could too, at a stretch?

Out of the rest of your lost, I really like Tabitha, Anna and Clara. Other suggestions:

Cora. Jessamine. Mabel. Lorna. Leah. Alexandra. Angela. Livia. Alicia. Evelyn. Maeve. Niamh. Tessa. Maura. Talia. Alba. Fleur. Nina. Marie.

How about Cornelia instead of Constance?
I like Cora mentioned above.
Annabel instead of Anna? I think it sounds nice with Harriet.

Harriet and either Hester or Esther sounds nice I think

Catherine with Kitty as a nn works well with Harriet
Also think Lydia or Georgia would be lovely names with Harriet

I think Catherine, Vivienne and Tabitha all go well. Catherine is a beautiful classic name, hardly meh.

Cressida and Josephine are also nice with Harriet.

Jennifer

Connie, Tabitha and Abigail a bit bland imo. Clara and Flora are a little too 'granny chic' for my liking but they aren't awful. Much prefer Cara to Clara though. Anna and Vivienne are gorgeous, very pretty and simple. I agree with you on Catherine, it is a little meh, how about Katerina?

Best options imo would be:
Anna Rosemary
Vivienne Rosemary
Katerina Rosemary
Cara Rosemary
