What does everyone think of Cassidy for a girl? Smile

I really like it, and my dc’s names are extremely mainstream!

TheTroutofNoCraic · 04/05/2018 21:15

It's a surname though.

agentdaisy · 04/05/2018 21:11

Cassidy is the name I really wanted for dd2 but dh vetoed it. Imo it's a lovely name for a girl.

DramaAlpaca · 04/05/2018 21:07

I'm sorry, but I think the trend for picking an Irish surname & using it for a girl's first name is really weird.

I don't like it at all, but I'm not keen on surnames for first names anyway.

bumvumb · 04/05/2018 21:03

I dont really like Cassandra either, do like Cassia though too!

Not my taste, but I like Cassia.

BrutusMcDogface · 04/05/2018 20:57

I know one who's about 6 and adorable! I've always loved Cassie but not Cassandra, so Cassidy is a great choice!

daisypond · 04/05/2018 20:54

I've been thinking about this and I've slightly changed my mind. It's not my style of name, but I think it could be OK for a girl, actually.

strawberriesandcream23 · 04/05/2018 20:27

I like it Smile

Ummmmgogo · 04/05/2018 20:26

it's cute i like it.

BabloHoney · 04/05/2018 20:22

Gorgeous, love Cassidy and Cassie!

Dergadgeghead · 04/05/2018 19:40

Wasn't 'On the Road' based on the life of a guy called Cassidy? Cool story, cool name, could work for a girl IMO.

countycouncil · 04/05/2018 19:39

It's definitely a surname here (Ireland) but I still think it's cool and has a really nice ring to it.

ijustdintknowwhattodo · 04/05/2018 19:35

Love for a boy but purely as a reference to the tv series Preacher

strawberrypenguin · 04/05/2018 19:27

I like it. Shortens nicely to Cassie too

chezmk1988 · 04/05/2018 19:27

I love it. Isn't it Irish?x

HeyDolly · 04/05/2018 18:28

Not to my taste at all. I like Cassie or Cassia though.

daisypond · 04/05/2018 18:27

Maybe just about OK for a boy. It would never occur to me that it'd be a girl's name. Cassandra?
