After the surrealist painter.

What do people think?
And of the nn Nora?

A Verdi fan? I love it. Very posh, but not in a silly way. It's a name I only started liking after DD2 was born, otherwise I would have been tempted.

17caterpillars1mouse · 05/05/2018 13:03

I really like it and I really like Nora too though I have a soft spot to the nn Leo for a girl too

LoveInTokyo · 05/05/2018 09:21

Leonora is fine, not a fan of Nora though. Lea is much prettier.

Dixiestampsagain · 04/05/2018 23:14

Very pretty name.

Socrates73 · 04/05/2018 23:05

Love Leonora, hate Nora though reminds me of nitty Nora the bug explorer. I also like Leonie and Leona.

RedDwarves · 04/05/2018 22:06

I like it. Think Leo is a cool nickname.

mathanxiety · 04/05/2018 22:04

Love it, and I love Nora too.

felicitythemangyfox · 04/05/2018 22:01

The Leonora I know goes by Leo most of the time. I like it Smile

DramaAlpaca · 04/05/2018 21:15

Leonora is a beautiful name.

Nora, on the other hand, is an ugly one.

I'd shorten to Leo or Lennie.

Sophronia · 04/05/2018 21:11

I like it a lot. I’d probably shorten it to Leo or Leonie.

countycouncil · 04/05/2018 19:40

I think it's really old lady and not in a cool way.

chezmk1988 · 04/05/2018 19:27

I like it but prefer Eleanor

Littlepond · 04/05/2018 18:28

I immediately thought fabric softener. I love Nora though.

RavenWings · 04/05/2018 18:27

I don't really like it. I love Leona though.

daisypond · 04/05/2018 18:07

I like Leonora. It's a proper name, and not cutesy. Lots of shortenings for it, as well.

Strokethefurrywall · 04/05/2018 17:56

I'm biased because my mum's name is Lenore - her nickname is Leni.

IHaveBrilloHair · 04/05/2018 17:41

I'm not keen on the name as such, but I like Nora, and I think Leo is a great shortening for a cool teenage girl, so for those reasons I'd go for it.

sonnyboo · 04/05/2018 17:40

Leonora is beautiful!

But please don't shorten to Nora.

raeray · 04/05/2018 17:40

I like both leonora and Nora! Cute names that carry through well to adulthood

dawn1967 · 04/05/2018 17:37

I love love love this name. To me it seems very elegant and Nora is a perfectly cute nn. I like Leo too.

Bananalanacake · 04/05/2018 17:32

When I was a kid my mum took me to see a friend of hers who had kids called Lee and Laura, I was abit puzzled as to why I only ever saw Laura and not Lee. Years later we bumped into this friend and she called her DD Leonora, then I realised it was her name.

Mountainsoutofmolehills · 04/05/2018 17:31

love it, beautiful.

dingdongdigeridoo · 04/05/2018 17:29

I love the name Lenore after the Edgar Allen Poe poem. Very gothic and different. Would I ever use it? Not in a million years. Sadly, all the variations would get stupid fabric conditioner jokes.

AnyaMoondial · 04/05/2018 17:28

I know a leonora shortened to Leo. It's a fine name.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 04/05/2018 17:25

Love it, but really dislike Nora on its own.
