Baby girl with no name...

GrumpyMooCow · 29/04/2018 20:54

My baby girl was born on Friday and we came home from hospital yesterday. However, she has no name yet! DP and I have managed to get down to a few names we agree on and I'd love some thoughts from others, please:

Emily
Lily
Sophie
Alice
Isabelle
Chloe
Elsie
Hazel
Clover

Thank you!

Depends how “ trendy” you want to be.
I would say: Clover, Hazel & Elsie are unusual

Emily & Isabelle, there will be tonnes in her primary class

Lily, Sophie, Alice, Chloe, classic but not loads of them running around

Bibijayne · 01/05/2018 10:02

Elsie or Hazel :)

FizzyGreenWater · 01/05/2018 09:58

Sophie would be my favourite from that list. Like Isabel/Isobel, but only those spellings.

WalkinglikeaFlamingo · 01/05/2018 00:30

Sophie and Alice both get my vote

Tumbleted · 30/04/2018 20:19

I’m intrigued WhatTookYouSoLong

gwen25 · 30/04/2018 17:31

Alice or Isabelle. Congratulations!

Cosmoa · 30/04/2018 12:01

Alice is my favourite on your list Smile

flissfloss65 · 30/04/2018 11:46

Favourites - Isabelle, Alice and Chloe.

I like Clover as a middle name but not if you choose Chloe!

Winchester13 · 30/04/2018 11:41

Lily or Isabelle

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 30/04/2018 11:38

Sophie from your list or Sophia.

Felicity
Thea
Delphine
Tess
Nell
Seraphina

I think Clover is lovely!

I had a baby girl last Sunday and have just chosen a name which I'm not sure about- and now everyone is calling her by that name Confused

So choose wisely Blush

captainbizz · 30/04/2018 11:32

Chloë or Sophie. Smile

Tumbleted · 30/04/2018 10:24

Definitely Hazel or Clover

And yes...Clover is a brand of butter, but so is Flora but that’s making a huge comeback!

Let us know what you decide, OP!

oldbirdy · 30/04/2018 09:27

Clover is a cow's name. It also reminds me of cloven hooves which again brings me back to farm animals. It also has "lover" in it which would be fertile teasing territory.

Elsie is a bit old lady cutesy. Prime minister Elsie or Dr Elsie, neurosurgeon don't work too well.

The other names are all inoffensive and nice.

bridgetreilly · 30/04/2018 09:20

In order, I like:
Clover
Elsie
Isabel (rather than Isabelle)
Chloe
Alice
Sophie
Emily
Lily
Hazel

Clover reminds me of the sister in What Katy Did, and I think it's a gorgeous and unusual name. Go for it!

buttercup54321 · 29/04/2018 23:11

Clover is awful for a child.

Sophie
Emily
Alice
Lily
Chloe
Isabella
Hazel
Elsie
Clover in that order.
OR
Katie
Emma
Caitlin
Freya
Fay
Lucy
Heather
Nicola
Charlotte
Elizabeth
Sarah
Melissa
Phoebe
Katrina
Rebecca

MollyHuaCha · 29/04/2018 23:03

Congratulations!

My thoughts...

Emily -lovely classic name
Lily - lovely
Sophie - love it
Alice - love it
Isabelle - lovely
Chloe - less keen
Elsie - even less keen
Hazel - no
Clover - definitely not

Enjoy choosing. Smile

Oysterbabe · 29/04/2018 22:36

I think Clover sounds like a name for an animal, maybe a rabbit or a cow. I love Hazel though.

twinkledag · 29/04/2018 22:21

I vote for Hazel Smile

Theyhaveallbeenused2 · 29/04/2018 22:21

From your list Elsie.
I would add Nancy

RoundaboutSnail · 29/04/2018 22:20

Sophie, Emily or Elsie.

PandaCat · 29/04/2018 22:16

Alice is my favourite from your list, but I'm biased. Clover sounds very pretty too!

Whatalovelymug · 29/04/2018 22:16

Hazel

moofeatures · 29/04/2018 22:14

Emily Clover Surname

marmitecrumpets · 29/04/2018 22:08

Clover
