Baby boy name troyble

Hi my husband and I are having trouble coming up with a boy name. We were wanting something somewhat unique and he likes strong names. We both like the name Hawke our last name is Moskow. But now I'm having doubts, because I'm worried about having to explain his name all the time. We also like Dylan. Thoughts??

Yes, We did hear the name on the Path. I think we want something similar at least (not necessarily nature inspired). We like something somewhat unique, masculine, and for it to go well with the last name Moskow.

Dylan is a lovely name. It is quite popular, but if you like it then don't let that put you off. Hawke is also very sweet.

Other suggestions:
Everett - means "brave as wild boar" if you like nature themed names!

I do all the time at work when I am in meetings and either need to introduce myself or be introduced. I just can't see introducing yourself as Hawke (even minus the surname) in a workplace as being anything but uncomfortable for an adult.

Dylan does go perfectly with your surname. Asher is nice and would also fit, as would Edward. I do like Hawke (are you fans of The Path?) but not sure it's a bit much with the surname. However, we don't get called by our full names all that often do we?

Hawk doesn't need an E. That takes yoonique to more yeeuuuneikh levels!
I agree with PP that Hawk Moskow would be a cool 80s action movie hero. People would probably snigger at such a fancy actiony name if he was bag packing at Tesco or telesales marketing, or any desk job really. He'd have to be a police detective or something at least.

Rudy as suggested by pp is good - Rudy Moskow has a great ring to it.
