Hermione and Lysander for twins?

I'm expecting boy/girl twins and these are our current favourites. What do you think of them? Any other suggestions are gladly welcomed Smile

Leander is ok but with Hermione will make people think you got confused with Hero. Or that you are posh rowers.

I'm liking Rosalind and lysander. I think they go together and shorten to Rosie and sandy.

I love hermione but unfortunately I think people immediately associate it with Harry Potter. I think Thalia is a lovely name and Lysander is very unique, I'm a fan

Lysander is great. I also agree Hermione though lovely is very harry potter. There are lots of lovely shakesperan names. Portia ? Phoebe? Rosalind?

I can't imagine the type of person who would seriously consider calling their twins Hermione and Lysander. This must be a wind up right?

How about Pinky for the girl twin and Perky for the boy twin if you want a matching pair? Or Julia and Julian? Simon and Simone, Bryan and Bryony?

Unless you want your kids to be teased mercilessly then yes. They are very upper class names.

As I said I know a Lysander who went to a comprehensive, he was fine.

They’re not actually typical upper class names. They’re more arty cultured middle class.

Well I’m neither and I definitely know who Hermia and Lysander are... my DH probably wouldn’t know but I think he’s avoided Shakespeare wherever possible!

I think it’s a bit too much like Hermia and Lysander who are a romantic couple and therefore a weird choice for twins. It will probably only register with English graduates or Shakespeare fans though.
