Honestly- it is a bit like calling your child Numpty!

Dvg · 28/04/2018 08:36

Well i wouldn't because at the moment there's a joke about Herbert the pervert from some show and the name sounds awful..and old man like

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 28/04/2018 08:35

Honestly?

I think all -bert names are ugly, I just don't like the b't sound, sorry.

lifechangesforever · 28/04/2018 08:35

Please, no. Trust your wobbling instinct.

jennifersarah · 28/04/2018 08:34

That’s the reason for my wobble! My husband is going mad - we’ve been set on the name for ages, he loves it. I’ve now read up on the name & a lot of it isn’t good.

No no no.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 28/04/2018 08:33

I’m sorry, I think it’s a lifetime of being teased name. And he’ll end up one of those people who goes by their middle name and shocks everyone when the post arrives and it says H.

PopadomPointer · 28/04/2018 08:32

No

jennifersarah · 28/04/2018 08:32

Yep. And I like Herb/Herbs and Bert too.

I think you should listen to your wobble. Apart from anything else, it's slang for being a bit of an idiot.

Sophronia · 28/04/2018 08:30

Would you shorten it to Herbie or Bertie?
