Nicest/least nice name between Hazel, Camille, Amber and Eleanor?

I'd like to hear opinions. Thanks. I'm thinking I might like Camille best, but not certain fully.

The only name is thinks just okay is Hazel.

Eleanor is lovely and very “English Rose”.

Hazel is OK - don’t have strong feelings about it.

Amber is actually a lovely name but some people might think it is a bit of a stripper name.

Camille - to me this sounds wrong unless it’s pronounced with a French accent.

If you suggested Camilla rather than Camille it would be top of the list for me.

Amber is not popular on here
Hazel - nice but makes me think of a twig or rabbit
Eleanor - a bit too popular

Eleanor is the best. It’s utterly gorgeous and extremely elegant.
I dislike Camille, however I really like Camilla.

Definitely Hazel! DH and I love the name and wanted it for DD2, but it doesn't work with our surname. We settled on using it as her middle name Smile

I think Eleanor is a really ugly name - Elena is a bit better.
Camille is ok. I wouldn't choose it but it's fine.
I like Amber.
Hazel is my favourite, I have a Hazel and I love her name. She is super cute and beautiful.

I’m a hazel too and agree with the previous poster. I did get called hazelnut quite a lot at school, but it didn’t bother me too much. Other kids had worse names.

As I’m older I absolutely love my name and never once have I wished my parents named me something more normal!

I like Eleanor most. I do like Camille as well, but how will you pronounce it? Ka-MEEL or Kah-MEE? I'm not sure Kah-mee works very well in English, and Ka-meel just seems so wrong to me, as it's an obviously French name. Camilla is a much better bet, to my mind. Hazel and Amber are both OK-ish, though I'm not keen on either - both are very different types of names to the more classy, in my opinion, Eleanor and Camille.

I'm a Hazel. I hated being called Hazelnut all through primary school. The most annoying thing was that every person who did it thought they were being original.
I love my name now though. It's unusual enough that I'm usually the only one, but I never have to repeat it or spell it.
I like your other choices too. I'm considering Eleanor for our list, but not sure if it's too popular. Although you'd hope she'd be called Eleanor Smith (or whatever) to differentiate, she might end up as Short Eleanor, Loud Eleanor etc

Amber is a hillbilly name - and not in a good way - in the US.
