I have 3 American friends named Hallie/ Hailie and Hollis, it’s a pretty common name for Americans.

My cousin named his daughter Hallie last year. I prefer Hallie to Halle, which just makes me think of Halle Berry.

Yes, different name to Hayley (I can spell😂)! But understand why people might get them mixed up.
