our surname also ends in "o" but I've tried it written, and said it out loud and it doesn't look/sound too bad to me. Thoughts welcome (but pls keep it kind) :)

Totally stuck for names otherwise.

No family or friends to ask, hence the post x

@Greenyogagirl Teddy bears are actually named for Theodore Roosevelt. Useless fact!

PinkAvocado · 04/04/2018 13:10

It’s nice but I’m not sure how it’s work with an o ending surname.

Greenyogagirl · 04/04/2018 13:05

@fenella I know, I thought ted/teddy was a nick name for Edward! It was only when I met someone who called her son Teddy and she said he had the same name as my son lol luckily most people don’t ask for first and middle names together Grin I think William Williams etc is just lazy!

Oysterbabe · 04/04/2018 11:04

I like it.
My neighbour thinks it's my son's name (his name is actually Leo) and after I didn't correct her the first few times and feel like I've missed the boat and it'd be awkward, I might change his name to it.

howthelightgetsin · 04/04/2018 10:16

I love the name Theo

GinIsIn · 04/04/2018 09:22

@Greenyogagirl really?! I’m so sorry but Grin It could be worse - I knew a William Williams and a Robert Roberts at school!

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 04/04/2018 07:59

I love Theo. It's getting very popular round here though.

DarkRoomDarren · 04/04/2018 03:32

I love Theodore, but prefer Ted / Teddy as a shortening.

allchangenochange · 04/04/2018 02:54

Love it, but Theodore gives you more choices. Say Teddy when little, Ted when older.

Greenyogagirl · 04/04/2018 02:52

Love Theo as that’s my boys name!
Fenella I only found out recently that Teddy is a nickname for Theodore and my sons middle name is Bear so I accidentally called him Teddy Bear Blush

Puffycat · 04/04/2018 01:26

Theo is a lovely name. As long as your surname isn’t Dopalopados

Dixiestampsagain · 04/04/2018 01:17

Love it!

chezmk1988 · 03/04/2018 21:50

Prefer Theodore shortened to Theo. I'd probably call him ted though

Olivebrach · 03/04/2018 13:10

I called my son Theo, so i like it :)

Officially hes called Theodore which we sometimes use but mostly Theo

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 03/04/2018 13:09

Agree with pp, I think Theo with a 3 syllable surname ending with o would be OK, would probably sound quite distinctive

GinIsIn · 03/04/2018 13:07

Can you go with Theodore so they could be Ted or Teddy if after a while you feel it is too rhyme-y

stellinaa · 03/04/2018 13:06

Love the name Theo, so cute! How many syllables in your surname? As long as its not 2 (same as Theo), I think it should be fine :)

MumOfThrMoos · 03/04/2018 13:05

I like Theo
