Brother for Jemima and Abigail

Jemima Rose (Jimmie) and Abigail Ivy (Abby) are expecting a baby brother in July. My husband and I have had no problems agreeing on girls names previously but can’t find a SINGLE boy name that we both like.

OH is deadest on Patrick which I’m not a fan of. I quite like Cameron/Lachlan/Ciaran.

We both kind of like Finn or Jack (which is a family name) but as OH/baby have a single syllable surname we’re not sure about single syllable first names.

Any suggestions or advice?

Not Jack as too plaiin and short with other two names.
Favourites from suggestions:
Jonathan..Jonny
Tobias....Toby
Nioclas..Nicky
And Patrick is great , l think

Daniel was my immediate thought. Or Andrew. Maybe Oliver.

I'm also not very good at boys names!

pipilangstrumpf · 19/03/2018 09:00

I'd avoid Benjamin as he may end up as Ben, the 1 syllable name you wanted to avoid.

I like Felix, Quentin and Magnus.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 18/03/2018 18:55

Patrick is not clunky HmmGrin

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 18/03/2018 18:55

Magnus.

FizzyGreenWater · 18/03/2018 17:55

I absolutely hate Patrick - one of my least favourite names. Just so clunky and manages to be middle-aged man and sound weirdly female at the same time!

Felix instead of Finn, so two syllables?

Sunnyrain69 · 18/03/2018 14:08

How about Finnegan or Phinneus (Finn) Jack.

MikeUniformMike · 18/03/2018 13:58

I like your daughters' names. Patrick is terrific, but if your not keen, why not use it as a middle name.
Benjamin Patrick?
Jeremy, Peter and Tom are probably out of the question.

Taken from a thread on here: Jasper or Sebastian. It feels like you need another Hebrew name like Benjamin...

wellalrighty · 18/03/2018 10:31

I was also going to say that Benjamin is nice with your girls names!

I love Lachlan.

Other suggestions - Daniel, Connor

Gennz18 · 18/03/2018 05:15

Jemima is our top pick currently (due in 3 months) and Patrick was my #1 name if she was to be a boy. We also liked Lachlan.

We have a DS Fraser if that helps!

I also liked Alistair, Campbell, Jasper and Robert (actually liked nn Rob or Robbie - wasn't so keen on The actual name Robert!)

whoareyoukidding · 17/03/2018 14:29

I've just looked up Mungo and it is a saint's name, plus it means 'kind'. :)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 17/03/2018 07:10

Jemima, Abigail and Conrad.
Jemima, Abigail and Russell.
Jemima, Abigail and Michael.

Thank you all! Some great suggestions here including a few that are on the long list (Dominic is a contender).

I love Benjamin but we made a firm decision to avoid any other Beatrix Potter characters when we named Jemima 😅
