Our favourite boys names are Ruairidh and Aedan. Any other Gaelic influenced boy name suggestions? We prefer names which arent too "out there"

Any help appreciated GrinFlowers

I love the name Conn - unfortunately can’t use it as it’s BIL’s name and he would think we’d named the child after him 😂.

Also Donnacha - was on the short list for DC1 before we found it she was a girl.

I love Scottish gaelic names. Where I went to school, a lot of my classmates had gaelic as first language and gaelic names.

Eachann (Hector)
Ossian (though technically not Scottish gaelic)
Tasgall
Fergus
Blair

I love Struan, my husband disagreed and said no.

Padraig, the Irish for Patrick. Sorley, which is the anglicisation of Somhairle, from the Old Norse Somarliðr meaning ‘summer traveller’.

Snowysky20009 · 11/03/2018 16:01

Ruaidhri (Pronounced Rory)

Fieau · 11/03/2018 10:41

My family is Scottish, my husband's Irish. So I tend to prefer Scottish names but he doesn't agree!

Some great suggestions here thanks everyone Flowers
