Baby with no name !!!

So I have a 3 week old dear little baby boy born Valentine's day... still without a name !

(poor bear !)

But I'm just really struggling to decide what to call him !

He has a 6 year old brother named Gabriel with whom I had no trouble naming whatsoever ( as it's my favourire boy's name)

I'm looking for something with a romantic link and I do like names with lovely meanings. Also something a little different but not too faddy/celeb..that can be shortened and something that stands up to Gabriel.

So .. my short list is...

Rafferty ( Raffy/Rafe)
Rafael (Raffy/Rafe) - son's favourite (Also an archangel like Gabriel)
Theodore (Teddy/Ted/bear) Means gift of god.. and is saintly
Roman (Romey/Rome/Manny) Valentines was a roman festival.
Romeo (Romey/Rome/Manny) obvious valentine link... but maybe too obvious !

Middle names - Would like to use William or Melvyn or both.. (Mine and partner's Dads)

And/or maybe a combination with the first names that don't get chosen.

ie. Rafael Theodore Melvyn Hopkins
Roman Theodore William Hopkins

I really would appreciate your feedback... as it's getting beyond silly now !

Both Rafferty and Rafael are fabulous names. I'd go for one of those. Most people won't make the angelic connection with Gabriel. It wouldn't make me go Hmm.

Theodore. You've already called him Bear in your post, so clearly Theodore, with Bear as a nickname. And he can be Theo when he gets older if he wants which is also really nice.

My DS had no name for a few days much to my husbands annoyance!

He is now a Rafferty (Raf). So my vote is Rafferty but I'm clearly biased Grin second choice would be Rafael. There are quite a lot of Theo's near me (London) in case popularity puts you off.

My first thought when I saw your other son is Gabriel was Rafael before I read your choices!

Both gorgeous names, had both on my list.

I would go with Rafael Theodore William - what have you been calling him in the mean time? Bear? Baby?

Theodore.

Raphael was my immediate thought but I think two angels is a bit much :)

Theodore is the one I’d pick.
