Baby with no name !!!

So I have a 3 week old dear little baby boy born Valentine's day... still without a name !

(poor bear !)

But I'm just really struggling to decide what to call him !

He has a 6 year old brother named Gabriel with whom I had no trouble naming whatsoever ( as it's my favourire boy's name)

I'm looking for something with a romantic link and I do like names with lovely meanings. Also something a little different but not too faddy/celeb..that can be shortened and something that stands up to Gabriel.

So .. my short list is...

Rafferty ( Raffy/Rafe)
Rafael (Raffy/Rafe) - son's favourite (Also an archangel like Gabriel)
Theodore (Teddy/Ted/bear) Means gift of god.. and is saintly
Roman (Romey/Rome/Manny) Valentines was a roman festival.
Romeo (Romey/Rome/Manny) obvious valentine link... but maybe too obvious !

Middle names - Would like to use William or Melvyn or both.. (Mine and partner's Dads)

And/or maybe a combination with the first names that don't get chosen.

ie. Rafael Theodore Melvyn Hopkins
Roman Theodore William Hopkins

I really would appreciate your feedback... as it's getting beyond silly now !

And yes .. it's very tough deciding between the 2 !

And yes.. I had thought about the name filling in part ! ha (my other son also has 2 middle names ! But I feel I must even them up!)

Stickman still currently has no official name .. but I think we are almost there thanks to all your comments... it's always nice to get a feel for what people think of a name...

Off to centre parcs this week for a total chill out week.... so hoping to get my final inspiration from taking babe to the enchanted wood ❤

ps. @Talou7 What your other 2 cousins called... and how old are Gabriel and Raphael now? Do they like their names ?
What is Raphael called for short... and what are his middle names ?

Just trying to get a feel for the name and how it worked out for him ;) xxx

Rafferty over Raphael for sure - two angels for me is a bit too much

Rafferty Theodore William is lovely but I adore Rafferty William Valentine

You could always used just Theo as a middle name if you didn't want two long middle names (think about him filling out forms when he's older! You don't want tooooo many characters!).

I love Rafferty!

I have 2 young cousins named Gabriel and Raphael, the two eldest of four brothers. Everyone says lovely things about their names and as far as I'm aware there've been no comments about both names being after archangels.

I like Raphael best from your list. But I’ve always thought that Nathaniel goes really well with Gabriel - Nate and Gabe.

I referred to Gabriel as Gabey bear / G bear when he was younger...

Just an affectionate term...

But to others he is Gabriel/ Gabey / Gabe / Gabey baby !

but yes... I agree .. he needs a beautiful name with a nod to the romantic day he was born on...

Rafael - archangel of healing and divine love

Theodore - Gift of God / also name to many saints

Romeo - self explaintory

Roman - Valentines is a roman festival

Rafferty - no link that I'm aware of

Yes.. I agree.. the 2 together are a bit of a mouthful..

However , I have to weigh whether the sound of the sibling set is more important than the actual name !

Jeez... I need to make a decision already !

And mummy's day must be the day to make it ! 🤦🏼

My grandson was born on valentines six years ago . My daughter wanted valentine or Romeo everyone said no but now she really regrets calling him an ordinary name . Go with your gut instinct.
