Currently expecting DC3 and think we are almost decided name for a boy.

However, girls names are proving more difficult. Please could I have your opinions on our shortlist for girls? Surname is a 2 syllable name beginning with W.

So far we have:

Talia (pronounced Tally-a)
Romilly
Jemima
Zinnia

Middle name ideas are Juliet or Eloise

Your middle names are my favourites! Eloise Juliet would be lovely. Or (tweaking) Louisa Juliet.

I like Jemima best from your main list.

Buntysoven · 10/03/2018 23:58

Zinnia is fab!

PinkCrystal · 10/03/2018 16:50

Jemima

SleepingStandingUp · 10/03/2018 16:48

Talia (pronounced Tally-a) - lifetime of correcting from Tar-lia or t-lia and not pretty enough for the effort
Romilly - cute, different and can be nn to less cute
Jemima - fine, but yeah puddle duck
Zinnia - don't like the sound on my tongue

Middle name ideas are Juliet or Eloise

Thanks all - it's really helpful to have some opinions. The naming game is just so difficult!

Zinnia Juliet Surname is very pretty.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/03/2018 15:18

Definitely Zinnia Juliet, very pretty, very different.

MikeUniformMike · 10/03/2018 14:52

Talia (pronounced Tally-a). I'd pronounce Tahl-ya
Romilly - makes me think of a war general
Jemima - lovely
Zinnia - not sure
Jemima Juliet is probably a bit too much.

Catinthebath · 10/03/2018 14:45

I know a Jemima. She gets called Mima for short.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 10/03/2018 14:42

Really like Jemima and Romilly

Naberes · 10/03/2018 14:37

I really like Jemima and Zinnia! Zinnia especially would be very cool — Zinnia Juliet.

That1950sMum · 10/03/2018 12:27

I like Juliet and Jemima. Romilly is also a pretty name. I've never heard of Zinnia - it sounds like a brand name to me I'm afraid.

applesandpears56 · 10/03/2018 12:24

Natalia Eloise (nn talia) is lovely

PaperdollCartoon · 10/03/2018 12:16

Jemima is the best, it would probably be on my list.
I’d pronounce Talia as Tah-lia too

deptfordgirl · 10/03/2018 12:14

afternoom

See I would say Tarl to rhyme with Carl for both. I guess it depends on accent.

Afternoon · 10/03/2018 11:58

Doesn't Talia come from Natalia? I'd say the Tal in both as rhyming with pal.

PinkAvocado · 10/03/2018 11:26

I also like Juliet Eloise!

BootsAndCatsAndBootsAndCats · 10/03/2018 08:46

I actually think Juliet Eloise would be gorgeous.

Highpeak · 10/03/2018 08:41

Zinnia juliet sounds lovely. Jemima is cute

I would also assume tarlia, Romiley is a place near where I live so sounds bizarre as a name choice

applesandpears56 · 10/03/2018 08:28

Talia or Juliet

How about tarryn?

Afternoon · 10/03/2018 08:23

I like Talia, Zinnia and Juliet and my favourite combination would be Zinnia Juliet.

SuperBeagle · 10/03/2018 08:14

Most people will pronounce Talia "tah-lee-ah" unless you're in the US/Canada.

So, Jemima.

deptfordgirl · 10/03/2018 08:09

Love Jemima Eloise

pilates · 10/03/2018 08:00

Jemima is the best one
Talia is ok
Dislike the other two

Sleephead1 · 10/03/2018 07:23

Romilly and Jemima are my favouries im not keen on Talia but that's partly because I don't like the sound of it in my accent names that end in a always sounder harsher in my accent but that's just personal preference
