Rosamund (Rosie) or Robyn

Like the formal name of Rosamund with youthful NN that could be used til older.

but also like Robyn as can’t be shortened and is what it is.

I think Rosamund is horrible. Rosie, Rose, Rosa all nicer IMO:

QueenOlives · 08/03/2018 09:04

Rosalie

AnyaMoondial · 08/03/2018 09:03

I think Robyn is an awesome name. I only know one and she is the coolest, most fun little girl. Her name doesn't get shortened at all.

I'd rather like to be called Robyn myself, I imagine I'd feel rather confident saying it.

Aprilmightmemynewname · 08/03/2018 08:58

Rosalind. Rosamund sounds made up!

user1498549192 · 08/03/2018 08:54

I love Rosie so would probably say Rosamund, although like previous posters I'm not as fond of the full version. I do love Rosa, Rosalie and Rose though.

NataliaOsipova · 08/03/2018 08:47

Definitely prefer Rosamund.

17caterpillars1mouse · 08/03/2018 08:45

I prefer Rosamund. It's a beautiful underused name

Theworldisfullofidiots · 08/03/2018 07:48

I prefer Robyn. Just don't shorten it.

HuskyMcClusky · 08/03/2018 07:44

Actually, all the Ros- forms are preferable to Rosamund.

Rosa, Rosalie, Rosie.

All better than frumpy Robyn though.

happychange · 08/03/2018 07:31

Robyn!

SuperBeagle · 08/03/2018 07:29

I like Rosie, so I'd choose Rosamund, but I really don't like Rosamund at all. It's very harsh sounding, and quite clunky. It reminds me of Edmund, Desmond, Redmond etc. which are all very masculine.

I don't like Robyn at all.

deptfordgirl · 08/03/2018 07:13

I love Rosie but prefer the full names Rosalind or Rosalie.

Out of Rosamund and Robyn I would probably choose Robyn.

IAmRosamund · 08/03/2018 07:07

NC for thisGrin
I am a Rosamund and I'm afraid to say I hate it. I am known as Ros which is fine but I just find it an ugly name and hate having to give it for formal things like medical appointments etc. Sorry!

NameChangeDestroyer · 08/03/2018 07:04

I prefer Robyn. I don't know any but its only 2 syllables so I don't feel its inevitable that it'll be shortened (although could be wrong!)

BikeRunSki · 08/03/2018 07:00

I prefer Robyn. Of course it can and does get shortened - Rob, Robbie, Bob, Bobby. I know a Robyn known as Bobby and a Robin known as Rob.

userabcname · 08/03/2018 06:59

Rosamund is prettier I think.

HuskyMcClusky · 08/03/2018 06:58

All the Robyns I know have been shortened to Rob, which is awful.

Far, far prefer Rosamund. Or just Rosa, even better.
