Mia Donna ?

Thoughts on the name Mia-Donna as one name? Or Mia then Donna for the middle name?

Donna is after my DH late mother who passed a few years ago ❤️

Also I want 'Me-A' and partner wants 'My-A' for 'My Donna'.

She would have been 50 this year so he's really feeling it 😢❤️

Definitely Mia rather than Mya. Keep Donna as a middle name, don't hyphenate. It's not the nicest name, but I can understand why your DP wants to use it. Can you add another middle name to soften it?

My first thought was also 'Primadonna'.

I think you need accept that everyone will pronounce Mia the 'wrong' way, which ever version you choose. I'm ashamed to say I can never remember which child is called Me-a and which My-a.

I said it sounds like Madonna but he loves it 🙈 I think he wants the baby to represent his mom so bad I could call her anything related and he'd love it, bless him.

Don't know how to tell him it sounds ridiculous so think I'm just going to stick with Mia (Me-a) on it's own

I like just Mia on its own me Donna as middle name, I also thinks it's awful as one name but thought I might have being a bitch!! So I'm glad others think the same

Kind of sounds like you meant to say/write Madonna. Be prepared for that question to come up frequently! Maybe put another name between them to avoid confusion? I think it sounds v. distinguished to have two middle names, and it's lovely to honour your DP's mum by using her name as well.

It sounds vaguely like you've mixed up some Spanish with something else. I don't like the combination of names however you pronounce Mia. If you are only going to call the child Mia, then if you have to have Donna for a middle name, okay. But I wouldn't hyphenate them at all. It sounds awful. They are nice names, just not nice together. Sorry.

As long as you/your child never travel to Italy and manage to avoid anyone who speaks the language, go for it!
