Phoebe or Saffron

Really struggling to decide!

I think Phoebe is a lovely cute name for a little girl, but it's in the top 20 so she'd potentially have a few classmates with the same name.

Saffron could be a great name to grow into (she'd be Saffie in the meantime). But perhaps it's a bit too wacky? Phoebe feels a little safer.

What do people think? Or else, if you hate both, I'd love to hear ideas for other names with a similar vibe!

Saffron is beautiful, as is Saffie. Neither are at all chavvy. More boho in my opinion

Phoebe was ruined for me, by hearing one called Beefy.

I don't think Saffron is chavvy at all. Arty, maybe.

I think I prefer Saffron. I know Phoebe is popular and has a nice meaning, but I can't get past the fact that it sounds a bit like "feeble" - and a lot of people have trouble spelling it too.

Saffron 100%. I love it.

I really dislike the sound of Phoebe, and I know loads now.

I have four kids ranging between 13 and 1 years old and I've never known a saffron and only one Phoebe in there classes throughout there school years

To me, Saffron is a kind of rice, and Saffy is the girl from Ab Fab.

I'm pretty sure Saffy on Ab Fab was called Saffron!

Anyway I adore this name.. It's not chavvy at all. I've known a few, both adult and child and it suits both! It is a great name to grow into like you said Smile

Definitely Phoebe. It sounds pretty, has an interesting spelling and is known without being super super popular.

Saffron sounds ugly to me, sorry.

For what it's worth, their Phoebe used to get nicknamed Beefy (she wasn't).

It’s not chavvy either. I knew one in my school and my SIL is Saffron. Beautiful unusual name.
