Eira is snow, or Eirwen which means Snowhite.

I like Winter or Snow as a middle name to mark the occasion but doesn't sound mad so for example:
Jane Winter Smith
Rachel Snow Evans

to be fair though, the ei- in eirlys, eira etc is pronounced differently by fluent welsh speakers from various regions. I'm a welsh speaker, my child is called Eiry. she goes to a welsh school. most of us (her family) pronounce it as Eye-ree or thereabouts, some of her teachers do too, others (including me) say it more like Ay-ree as do various other teachers. its a regional accent thing.

The latin name for a Snowdrop is Galanthus Nivalis (milkflower of the snow). Nivalis is the bit that means 'of the snow'. Would Niva work? (pron Neeva)

Pronounce syllables like this:

Mi rhymes with "me", but shorter sound...like the word "mimicry"
Yu rhymes with "you" but shorter sound....like the word "ukelele"
Ki rhymes with " key" but shorter sound....like "kiwi fruit"
E sounds like the "e" in "elephant".

Those four syllables make up all the names above.

Depending on which characters used for writing here are some Japanese winter names.

Miyuki can mean Beautiful snow
Yuki can mean Snow
Yukie can mean snow blessing

Ísleifur (ice heir)
Ísafold (ice land)
Þorri (midwinter)
