How would you say Ceri? And would you know how to spell it?

Considering this as a girl's name, but worried that it'll be constantly mis-spelt/mispronounced (we don't live in Wales). Thoughts, please?

I know male and female Ceris pronounced Kerry.

Never seen it spelled as Kerry, nor pronounced Cherry.

Pronounced Kerry, it's the Welsh spelling and I think it looks prettier spelt this way

I'm a Kerry and I know it's pronounced like my name. In fact, I wish my parents had gone for that over my spelling.

I think most people would know it's pronounced 'Kerry' - although it's one that might need clarification over the phone etc.

It's a lovely name - I know a man in his 60s and woman in her 30s with it, and weirdly it suits them both!

It’s not like spelling Sarah as Sara though, those are pronounced differently.

I’d know to pronounce it Kerry, and I’d recognise Ceri as one of the normal spellings.

Yes, sorry, that was badly phrased. I guess I meant 'would you recognise this as a possible spelling'? Is it like spelling 'Sarah' as 'Sara' - less usual, but people will 'get' it - or like spelling 'Emily' as 'Emmalee' - people will be actively confused by it?

Defo Kerry but wouldn't necessarily think of the Ceri spelling if heard someone say their name was Ceri.

Kerry. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘would you know how to spell it’ - if you mean would I automatically spell it ‘Ceri’ if I heard it - no I wouldn’t I’d assume ‘Kerry’ but I’m not welsh so that might be relevant!

If I was in Wales or the person was Welsh or they just said ‘like the welsh way’ then I would know how to spell it.

Sorry, toss, that sounded like I was having a go at you for getting it wrong, which wasn't how I meant it! I was actually expecting a lot more 'Cherry' 'Seri' etc.

Kerry, I would spell it Keri as that’s how I have seen it before.

Ok, first response alarmed me, but since then seem to be reassuring! I just don't want her (hypothetical her - we don't actually know if it's a girl or a boy) to have to constantly correct people.
