Currently 25 weeks pregnant with girl number four and really struggling with her name.
We already have:

Daisy Dorothy
Betty Tabitha
Kitty Matilda

I like traditional/unusual names, with middle names that can be abbreviated incase they grow to hate their first name.

Short list for the new baby is
Winnie
Quincy
Bunty

Middle name Dolores or Delilah.

I'm not completely sold on them though, any opinions or other suggestions?

Boys are great but girls will never leave you, as you will always be their Mother

The fuck? I'll always be my son's mother, thanks.

Also, I left my mother as soon as I was old enough.

What an utterly bizarre thing to say.

Thanks. Had no idea. I assumed Daisy was after the flower and didn’t know Margaret is the anglicised version of the French daisy

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 25/02/2018 12:21

"How on earth Daisy Margaret".

Its because the French word for Daisy is Margurite. I only found out this a few weeks ago. I don't get the Peggy connection with Margaret. Will have to Google.

LadyLance · 25/02/2018 12:19

@Cats Margaret comes from Marguerite which is French for Daisy.

What about Sukie (from Susannah)?

flumpybear · 25/02/2018 12:14

@cats
Easy - Daisy grows
In earth and is a cute name .... Margaret is a horrible name, who on earth would
Chose that? Common denominator = earth GrinWink
As you were

CatsForgotPassword · 25/02/2018 12:06

However the op already has a Daisy which are both forms of Margaret

How on Earth is Daisy Margaret?

flumpybear · 25/02/2018 12:04

Sorrel? Remy? Barley?

JacintaJones · 25/02/2018 12:00

Sylvie Delilah?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 25/02/2018 11:58

Peggy Is a fab suggestion. However the op already has a Daisy which are both forms of Margaret. Therefore they're the same name.

I like your existing daughters’ names but can’t say I like your first name options for this one... esp not Bunty! I would hate to be called Bunty! How about:

Dulcie
Marnie
Sadie
Hattie
Nancy
Edie
Milly
Gracie

Marnie Delilah would be my top pick!

MikeUniformMike · 25/02/2018 10:06

Winnie nice (but Pooh association)
Quincy - No
Bunty - a bit nickname

Poppy would go well with the other names
