I would go with Beatrix. Both nice but Beatrice a bit more of a 1980s name. x ending a bit more edgy.

StickStickStickStick · 21/02/2018 07:34

I don't like the ending of Beatrix. I love Beatrice though and wish nine had been a little Bea!

Cosmoa · 21/02/2018 07:26

Another vote for Beatrix!

summermeadows · 21/02/2018 00:10

Definitely Beatrix, beautiful name!

My daughter is called Beatrice and the whole way my through pregnancy I called her beat rice :D it hasn't stuck thankfully!

Smidge001 · 20/02/2018 18:03

I prefer Beatrice. I find it easier to say.

Beatrice

AnyaMoondial · 20/02/2018 17:28

I like them both a lot but feel like Beatrix seems cooler because it is less usual. If I imagine them both being the same amount of usual then I prefer Beatrice.

LadyPug · 20/02/2018 13:32

Beatrix all the way! It’s an amazing name and has character and strength behind it. Beatrice is a bit cutesy and boring to me tbh (plus I know a few) Beatrix is gorgeous

Icklepickle101 · 20/02/2018 12:37

I was in the Beatrice camp but DP threw Beatrix in to the mix and I just can’t decide! It also feels quite out there and I’m not sure I’m brave enough!

I prefer Beatrix

I used to prefer Beatrice until I met a little Beatrice and her name just seems so serious for her. Beatrix feels more lively and fun

Beatrix. Beatrice makes me think of Beat rice. Also Beatrix Potter is a great namesake.

Mishappening · 20/02/2018 10:08

Have Beatrice and pronounced the Italian way - Bay-ah-tree-chay - then everyone will think you are dead posh!!!

Afternoon · 20/02/2018 10:05

I prefer Beatrice. I find Beatrix a bit harsh.

mum2be2boys · 20/02/2018 09:55

Beatrix

Discobabe98 · 20/02/2018 09:41

Beatrix, probably also because of the Trixie nickname however I hate when it’s pronounced ‘Beer tricks’ rather than ‘Bee- a- trix’ which I don’t think is as much as an issue with Beatrice as most people have the pronounciation down

ChocolateCrunch · 20/02/2018 09:29

Beatrix

crumble82 · 20/02/2018 09:26

I’ve always preferred Beatrice (NN Bea), I think it looks softer. Both are lovely though.

KatharinaRosalie · 20/02/2018 09:24

Beatrix

PaperdollCartoon · 20/02/2018 09:23

Genuinely like them both equally. I’d probably think the parents of Beatrix was a bit cooler, parents of Beatrice more traditional, but yeh they’re both great

Barre · 20/02/2018 09:23

Beatrix is much cooler!
