Names for twin girls, baby 5&6

They are a very different style to your other DC's name. I don't like either of them. They're matchy-matchy, and surname-type names which at best I'd say would do for a boy, not a girl. People will get them muddled up. Harlow is a new town in Essex and there's a few places called Hadley as well. Agree with those who say matching initials for twins is really not a good idea. If you want unity with your other DC, you could have an A name for one and an E name for the other.

I would never have thought of those two names but I think they are absolutely lovely! Definitely go for it

They don't go well with your other names - all of which are softer and nicer. Hadley and Hayden - both hard, masculine, feel like place or brand names, really impersonal.

Also - matching initials for twins I really dislike - really dilutes any individuality which is a no-no - twee and blurs them together even more. And reminds me of how people name pets! Like they are a pair of hamsters or something. I get that your other daughters' names fall into pairs though, so perhaps that's why?

If they must match, make them more attractive names, and maybe markedly different lengths?

Go for vowel initials again? Orianna and Ophelia? Oriel and Orla? Isabella and India?

I like Hadley! Hadley and Hayden seems a bit matchy, how about Hadley and Harper

Helen and Hermione? Hadley and Haydon sound like boys / place names to me - don’t like them at all.

Congratulations! My comment would be that your other girls have (lovely) girls rather than unisex names. (I admit to not liking unisex names...) Personally I would go for girls names.

My experience is that most twins who have matchy names end up resenting it. They are likely to get "interchanged" by people quite a lot anyway (even if they are fraternal) and this can start to get quite annoying for the kids--I really don't recommend that you make this worse by giving them matchy or similar-sounding names.

How about thinking about what names you would like for two regular (non-twin) siblings, and starting from there?

You have awesome taste in names!! I like Hadley but not keen on Hayden. Do they both have to have names beginning with H? It might be nice if they are more included with your other daughters by having a name completely of their own

I agree with the PP about Harlow, I really love that. And how about Harley?

As a twin, I'll say they are very matched pair. They will automatically paired by everyone, don't help that process along. (They are nice names, just not together)

I think Hadley and Hayden are perfect together! Both equally as unisex as each other. I like the Harlow suggestion but it's more of a girls name to me..
