What girls names would you consider to be ‘hipster’?

I really don't think a lot of the names suggested are hipster at all. Martha, for example, I'd consider very mainstream - all the Marthas I know are 20-something, so hardly cutting edge. Anything that's popular or commonly mentioned on here is out. Hipster to me are names that are wannabe ahead of the curve. So not Victorian/Edwardian names like Clementine. Not granny chic names like Elsie. Not classics like William or Alexandra. Not biblical like Rebecca or Noah. Maybe uncommon Anglo-Saxon/medieval names like Wilfreda. Or names from the 30s like Joyce. Daphne is one I've heard recently from people I'd consider hipster.

Yes, Isla's very mainstream. Clementine and Florence are, to my mind, more upper middle class than hipster.

Agree with ahead-of-the-curve granny chic (Sybil, Edith, Jean) and Nordic- or Scandi-sounding (Marit, Nora).

I think hipsters would be more likely to call a boy Indigo than a girl.

The two Clemmies (who knew Clementine was such a popular name?) on Instagram, as in Mother of Daughters and the other one (Telford?) have got kids called Greta and Ottilie/Delilah - all very hipster.

I'd imagine the hipsters either go for 1950s style names like Pamela or Sybil or austere Euro names like Marit or Petra.

I don't agree that Isla is a hipster name. It's quite pretty but there a billion Islas round here born to perfectly normal and non-hipster families.
