Kira is a sensible spelling because the pronunciation is unambiguous

Kyra is a legitimate name as well.

I really like Kyra / Kira. It's the female version of Cyrus I believe...

Kira is used in a lot of Slavic/Eastern European countries, so not a mutated version.

I prefer Ciara.

Irish - Ciara from Ciaran

Scottish - Keira from Keir

English version of Ciaran is Kieran giving Kiera.

Mutated versions - Kira, Keera etc.

If you want it pronounced Keer uh then why not spell it Kira? That is unambiguous.

I'd pronounce Clara or Kiara as Kee-ah-ra

As someone who has a Keira, I’d choose that speaking again. No issues with pronunciation and her name is rarely spelled wrong.

DD's teacher has in their class a Clara, Caoimhe, Keira and Cara!

Liv Chiara is the Italian name, and it's not connected with Ciara. It's the Italian form of Clara.

Ciara is a name in both Irish and Italian, I think, hence the confusion. Keera in Irish, kee-ah-ra in Italian.

Where the singer who pronounces it Sierra got that from I've no idea - anyone know?
