Sister for Iris x Can't find a name i love as much, but do like Ivy and Violet. Think i prefer Ivy a bit more. Would love some opinions on the names and to know which everyone likes best. Thanks !

I considered Ivy and I love Violet too.
I have an Iris so would probably go with Ivy but I do like both.

Rihanna89 · 09/02/2018 21:26

How about Fern? (Or Fearne) fits with the theme.

BakedBeans47 · 09/02/2018 21:20

They are both lovely but Violet works better with Iris Smile

Mossbystrand · 09/02/2018 21:19

Violet because I always think of poison Ivy when I hear the name Ivy.

sundowners · 08/02/2018 13:46

Violet!

gingercakeandwhitecustard · 08/02/2018 13:41

Much prefer Ivy but I agree that Iris and Ivy are a bit of a mouthful together, plus you have the inevitable issue of post to Miss I ***. How about;
Iris and Rosa
Iris and Jasmine
Iris and Pearl

mehhh · 07/02/2018 22:57

Both are lovely I prefer Ivy though

Threeandabit · 07/02/2018 22:53

I like them both, but would choose Violet so they have different initials.

I would also suggest Opal and Verity.

SuperBeagle · 07/02/2018 22:48

Violet.

Ivy and Iris are too similar.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/02/2018 22:29

How about Iris and Jasmine ?

MancUnicorn · 07/02/2018 20:47

Violet is one of the top contenders for DD name (DP's top choice). I like Iris and Violet. Iris and Ivy are lovely but catchy (if you can get past that though it is lovely). I really like Eden. Only met one other my age. So nice. Iris and Eden sound lovely!

Afternoon · 07/02/2018 18:02

I'm not keen on Eden, it sounds a bit insubstantial to me. I like Edith with Edie as nickname, or Elsie.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 07/02/2018 17:56

I’d definitely go for Eden. I think Ivy may get confusing as it sounds quite similar to Iris. I’m not mad on Violet and I think it’s becoming really popular, if that bothers you.

Meemzinha · 07/02/2018 17:53

I love Eden, and I believe it's much less popular than Ivy and Violet too?

AnyaMoondial · 07/02/2018 15:30

Violet! Beautiful and goes really well with Iris.

TatianaLarina · 07/02/2018 15:27

Eden is pure chav.

Violet is lovely, and I think Iris and Ivy are too similar.

CherryTreeIsGrowing · 07/02/2018 15:11

I prefer Ivy but don't think Iris and Ivy sound right together.

Hate Violet, it's a very wet name.

MikeUniformMike · 07/02/2018 14:50

I don't like Ivy. Violet gets pronounced Vile-et.
Eden will get called Ede.

RosieCotton · 07/02/2018 14:13

I have an Ivy and Eden. Eden is a beautiful name, so I'd obviously say Eden. This time we're having a little girl again and she's called Poppy. I would go with Ivy, it's a great name :)

bridgetreilly · 07/02/2018 12:04

Ivy! Ivy and Iris is a lovely pair of names for sisters. They really aren't that similar.

I don't like Eden at all.

helenalovel · 07/02/2018 11:40

Thanks everyone. Was wondering if i should add Eden to the list? What do you think?

Ivy and Iris is a bit of a mouthful. I love Violet.

What about Ada or Mabel?

bluebabydinosaur · 07/02/2018 11:05

Ivy is a very pretty name. Met a baby called Primrose the other day which I thought was lovely if that helps.

Jammycustard · 07/02/2018 10:37

Violet. Or Viola?

helenalovel · 07/02/2018 10:36

It's true Iris and Ivy are quite similar, that's probably why i like it!
