Hi all, first thread I've ever set up so please forgive any errors. Baby is due in the next few week and I've still no clear idea for names. We haven't found out if it's a boy or girl so have twice the name options!

I like unusual names (I.e. only one in class or school) but don't want to be thought completely out there and crazy with it.

What are your thoughts on Indigo (Nn Indi) for either a girl or boy?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like it, there's an Indigo at DD's preschool, girl.

TheCatsPaws · 03/02/2018 09:39

I think it’s a great name OP.

Indigo refers to a certain type of child in New age, hippy circles wiki.
It's a nice name though, no more weird than other colour names like Amber, Scarlett.

I used to know a guy called Indigo, 20 odd years ago. Hippy parents. It really suited him and I always thought he had the coolest name ever.
I’ve never met another.

I like it too. I don't think I'd know if it was boy or girl. Also agree that Inigo for a boy is nice.

PenelopePickle · 03/02/2018 09:34

I like it but I’d think it was a girls name if I saw it on a class list. Possibly because I’ve only known female Indi’s

BitOutOfPractice · 03/02/2018 09:34

I quite like it actually. Or what about Inigo instead.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/02/2018 09:32

I like it.
