Can't decide!
Lily or LolaSmile
Love both & don't mind about the popularity of Lily. Which one is nicer / should we go for? Thank you!

@fruitc sorry above I mean to write...

Lily Kalea.. Not Kaleo

danTDM · 04/02/2018 11:09

Lola is shot for Delores, meaning pain, in Spanish.

Horrible IMO and very common name in Spain.

Meemzinha · 04/02/2018 11:09

How about Lily Dolores as Lola is short for Dolores?

Valerrie · 03/02/2018 21:07

Lily but it's very popular at the moment. I usually have a few in my class. I know SO many dogs called Lola.

Last year I taught a Lolita.

pilates · 03/02/2018 21:02

Lily Constance
Lily Madeline
Lily Emmeline
Lily Francesca

I'm not sure I'd put Lily together with Pearl - they've both got some long-established weight behind them in terms of concepts of purity, chastity, innocence, etc. Perhaps another name with with less (or different) symbolism.

RogueAnnJosh · 03/02/2018 17:29

Lily Pearl is beautiful!

Also:
Lily Martha
Lily Serena
Lily Esther
Lily Rowan

would like something perhaps a bit more uncommon than Lily, Pearl is nice Smile

Not Rose. There's a zillion kids with Rose as a middle.

Suggestions for middle:
Catherine
Rosanna (bit flowery with Lily, though)
Hope
Marie
Aurora
Rebecca
Miranda
Juliet
Caroline
Hazel (also v flowery combo to me)
Blythe
Abigail
Miriam
Faith
Serena
Pearl
Jane
Carmen

Personally I like it with a longer middle name.

PenguinsandPandas · 03/02/2018 17:13

Lily is a beautiful name.

Maybe Lily Elise
or Lily Catherine

Argeles · 03/02/2018 16:54

Lola is much nicer.

I also like Paloma, which I always think of being a similar name.

DullAndOld · 03/02/2018 16:51

Rose

cant get over Lola being a showgirl tbh, with feathers etc.
also it's short for 'Lolita'. in fact Humbert Humbert refers to Lolita as Lola a few times.
So Lily for me.

TatianaLarina · 03/02/2018 16:44

Balonz?

That’s a bit rogue, Ann.

Chap?

RavenWings · 03/02/2018 15:50

Lily. Lola is a name for a Chihuahua, a showgirl or a porn star as someone mentioned above. Also reminds me of Lolita.

RollerSkate77 · 03/02/2018 12:50

I know twins called Lily & Lola not helpful

mrsBeverleyGoldberg · 03/02/2018 12:16

I think Lola is a porn star name. I don't know why.

Auto-correct added those apostrophes both times, not me. Just saying.

sinceyouask · 03/02/2018 09:44

Lola is lovely.
