Lily or Lola
Love both & don't mind about the popularity of Lily. Which one is nicer / should we go for? Thank you!

Lola is shot for Delores, meaning pain, in Spanish.

Horrible IMO and very common name in Spain.

Lily but it's very popular at the moment. I usually have a few in my class. I know SO many dogs called Lola.

I'm not sure I'd put Lily together with Pearl - they've both got some long-established weight behind them in terms of concepts of purity, chastity, innocence, etc. Perhaps another name with with less (or different) symbolism.

cant get over Lola being a showgirl tbh, with feathers etc.
also it's short for 'Lolita'. in fact Humbert Humbert refers to Lolita as Lola a few times.
So Lily for me.

Lily. Lola is a name for a Chihuahua, a showgirl or a porn star as someone mentioned above. Also reminds me of Lolita.
