Is it okay to use this name?

Tia for a girl. A bit put off by what TIA is in medical terms, would you still use it?

It makes me think of Tia Sharp so I wouldn't use it.
Mia, Nia are better. Not keen on Lia. Pia is lovely but would get shortened to Pee.

Oh of course it's fine. It's a lovely name. I've met a few Tias and I have never, not once, associated them with the TIAs my mum has suffered over the years. It's lovely, OP. I wouldn't over-think it.
My son's name is Theodor (the German spelling). If you slice it down the middle, his name becomes The Odor!

One of the twins from Sister Sister was Tia. Showing my age here! Anyway I liked that show and I like the name.

I just read it as Tia, didn't even consider the connection - it's a lovely name

neither had i, but when i googled Tia it was all that came up so felt a bit unsure

I know lots of Tia's, i don't like it but that's because I don't like the sound not because of any associated terms which tbh have never occurred to me.
