Hi there, currently half way through my pregnancy with my second daughter. My first is Erin Angelica, for our second we want another short & sweet first name but not too popular,
our list currently is: Nina, Cleo, Lyla, Mira & Blake .. Thoughts?? Be honest we want to avoid all potential funny faces when we tell people our daughters names (grin)
Thanks! x

Cleo is lovely. I know an Erin and Shona!

MikeUniformMike · 29/01/2018 14:09

Nina - I like it
Cleo - lovely
Lyla - no, sounds like Lilo
Mira - shower brand, Myra Hindley.
Blake - boy's name

Mia is lovely but v popular. Nia (pron. Nee-ah) is a pretty Welsh name and Niamh is the Irish version of it.
Mia Farrow's real first name is Maria.

Love Nina. Sorry, but to me, Blake is (if anything) a boy's name. How about Alice...Clara...Nancy ?
When We had our kids we had a policy of not discussing names with family. It was hard enough to find names we both liked, without trying to please everyone else!

ifigoup · 29/01/2018 08:07

Oh duh - sorry, I missed that you had already chosen Thea! Lovely! Congratulations!

ifigoup · 29/01/2018 08:06

I like all the ones on your list except Blake, but I think Mira might be a bit tongue-twistery with Erin.

Have you thought about Sara? Simple, pretty, easy to parse, but not at all common at the moment.

Mrsknackered · 29/01/2018 08:02

I'm an Erin, so I think it's great 😉

My little sisters have some of the names suggested on here. One sister was very nearly Thea, but is an Ivy instead.

Erin and Thea is lovely, congrats Thanks

jacqcn411 · 28/01/2018 23:42

Thea is the clear winner of all your suggestions with my Mr, So thankyou all ladies you may have just named my baby!x

The only Blakes I've met are boys so can't imagine a girl called Blake.
I love Nina but not with you surname.
Cleo Nixon is a great name!
