Arabella?

I love the name Arabella, have done since I was about 15, but I’m not keen on the association with the Arctic Monkeys song. I like the band but somewhat dislike the fact that people might think i’m naming my child after a song. Thoughts? (do most people associate it with the song?)

Never heard a song with the name...

I love the name but hate AM and since my partner played me that song it’s put a dampener on the name, and it’s all I think of when I hear Arabella. I reckon once you saw your daughter though all hatred for the song would go out the window and you’d only ever know Arabella as your daughter. I say go for it!

It's very pretty but long. Choose a short form you like if you are going to use it. Ari/Bella/Ella perhaps.

Met a lady called Arabella a few weeks ago. Thought the name was really lovely and so was she. No knowledge of AM song.

Sorry, sounds like a pasta sauce to me

Littlechocola · 25/01/2018 19:36

I wouldn’t even consider the song. It’s a beautiful name.

ChocolateCrunch · 25/01/2018 19:32

Love the name. Don't know the song, so don't associate the name with it!

ApplesTheHare · 25/01/2018 19:32

Hmm, I was an AM fan but can't even remember which song you're talking about so you're probably safe. They haven't been famous for about 10 years have they?

PandaCat · 25/01/2018 19:30

I've no idea what song you're referring to, so I guess not everyone will associate it with the song!
