This baby naming lark gas been nothing but drama. 7 weeks to go.. I found Callia on mn and thought Bingo! but DH has said he's gone off it as it's "a bit much". Our dd is Nancy which DH says is more down to earth. He hasn't any suggestions obviously. Do you please? It was so easy with our first.

Superbeagle Juliet is DHs sister! I worked with a totally neurotic Clara and my name, my sister's name and 2 of my nieces have been suggested! Why have I got such a big family?! Merryn is ok....god I'm fussy sorry

@Threeandabit oooooh a definite option then if DP ever gives in and lets me have another!!!

Threeandabit · 26/01/2018 21:48

catsarenice - I just had a quick look at the statistics, for baby names in England and Wales. In 2002 three baby girls were registered as Elfin...so slightly different spelling but still used Smile

When you said 'thanks Elfyn' I thought 'oooh Elfyn is a lovely name'. Obviously since realised it was a user name, but I think that might now be my new favourite name for a girl!

silkpyjamasallday · 26/01/2018 19:43

Seconding the Clara suggestion, sounds lovely with Nancy.

Threeandabit · 26/01/2018 18:03

You could have Juliet/Julia with Jude or Judy for short, in the same way that Jude can be short for Julian.

mathanxiety · 26/01/2018 05:02

sheesh

mathanxiety · 26/01/2018 03:08

Judith is nice imo - could be Judy or Jude for short.

How about:
Hazel
Saskia
Edith (Edie)
Honor
Vita
Evelyn
Cleo
Livia

Elfyn · 25/01/2018 23:31

I quite like Morven, actually!

Similar but a bit softer: Merryn or Mirren?

Buntysoven · 25/01/2018 22:44

Elfyn those names are gorgeous. Thanks. Will run past DH tomorrow x

Thanks everyone. Some names I really love here, mostly ones I can't use like Fern, Clara, Louisa, Jess, Iris and Polly. DHs mum said Calla makes her think of gas! 😂She's pushing for Sally but as 3 neighbours have a dog called Sally I'd be crushed in the stampede when I called her in for tea...and Im a bit worried two ee endings sound twee. Please keep the suggestions coming. I'm HUGE and think she may come early! DH likes Morven (NO) and Judith which I think is a bit too dowdy.
