We have final few names picked but can't decide. Also throw some names I might like if you can!

Saoirse
Avery
Amelia
Saorla

We are Irish hence the two Irish names

sirlee66 · 20/01/2018 19:01

Saoirse for sure!!! Love that name soooooooooooo much

mondler · 20/01/2018 18:49

I like Avery too!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 20/01/2018 18:03

I like Avery.😄

ChocolateCrunch · 20/01/2018 17:34

Saorla, but I do like Avery too.

Lukeandlorelai4Ever · 20/01/2018 17:25

Haha tbh Avery also reminds me of birds 🙈Dd came up with it when she mispronounced savoury so we thought it was nice!

Yes we live in Ireland .

We both love saoirse but becoming very popular over here at the moment.

You're right about Amelia, also becoming popular.

Saorla is pronounced sehr-la. Sehr rhyming with bear. That's the best explanation I can think of. I think in some regions you might hear seer-la, too.

bluesu · 20/01/2018 17:15

Not keen on Avery for the bird cage reason.

Saorla is beautiful (is it pronounced Soar-la?)

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 20/01/2018 17:11

Do you live in Ireland? If not, will you be constantly annoyed by mispronunciation?

I know lots of Amelias so I wouldn't choose that. Avery is quite different to the other names.

Having looked up the pronunciation, I like Saorla best :)

Thistlebelle · 20/01/2018 17:11

Not too keen on Avery but the others are lovely.

DramaAlpaca · 20/01/2018 17:10

I love both the Irish names, especially Saorla which you don't hear much.

Amelia is OK but very popular.

I don't like Avery at all. It makes me think of printer labels & birdcages.

RavenWings · 20/01/2018 17:10

I love Saoirse. Such a beautiful name.

Avery - no, reminds me of an aviary and always strikes me as a male name.

Amelia is v bland nowadays. I teach in Ireland and we are overloaded with Amelias and Amelies.

Saorla is nice, but I prefer Saoirse. Saorla however is definitely a bit more unusual.
