which would you pick?

If we have a boy, we are firmly decided on Zachary Christopher (Zack for short).

For a girl, we are definite on middle name (Rose) but it's between these:

Megan Rose
Amelia Rose
Lauren Rose
Robyn Rose
Isabella Rose

I also really like Eloise (though wouldn't go with Rose) but OH won't as he once snogged a girl called Eloise (doesn't bother me).

Concerned re Megan also - both of us have loved Megan independently of one another for years, but now with Meghan Markle, expecting an influx of Megan's.

I don't actually know why I'm asking as only 5 weeks, had a MMC last time at 9.5 weeks and so not even certain we will get there. But I do like thinking about names!

I love Megan Rose and have also thought Meg and Meggie to be lovely nicknames for both a child and adult.
The second fav for me would be Isabella, shortened to Bella rather than Issy.

Megan Rose - OK but a bit blah.
Amelia Rose - hate the name Amelia...can never believe it's so popular & can only assume people don't realise it's the name of a birth defect.
Lauren Rose - Lauren is a bit dated...90s.
Robyn Rose - Love it. Best by far.
Isabella Rose - Isabella is a beautiful name. Very popular but that's because it's lovely. Sounds like a question with a noun middle name though - 'Is a bell a rose?' No...it's a bell.

OP we have the same taste in names! Scary! You've got our fav boy name and 3 of our girls names! I love Lauren and Robyn with Rose (as long as your surname isn't an R).

Do you like Eleanor or Imogen?

Now he's said he doesnt actually like the name Eloise so that's that's I guess! Oh well. Plenty time!

Oh I know - OH being silly. I mean I'd get it if it was an ex, but it's not! It's one of his cousins friends though and I think she had a bit of a "thing" for him (well before me) and wanted to date him but it was unrequited.

I've always loved Eloise - since reading the books since I was a kid. Such a bloody pity re Megan - and I'd be worried kids would call her smegan!! Shock

Amelia or Isabella.
I like Robyn but wouldn't put with Rose partly due to alliteration can be a bit twee.

Agree royal association with Megan may be dodgy.
Lauren is a pretty name but prefer 1st two.

They're all lovely names - I'm splitting hairs!

Amelia is too popular
Isabella is very pretty pretty but I don't like Izzy and I know of many Isabels, Isabelles and Isabellas.

Lol I would never ask somebody if they were born at Christmas just because their name is Robyn. Would people really do that??

Of your list, I like Megan most. I do like Eloise more though and don't think "I kissed a girl with that name once" is a great reason to veto a name, but each to their own.

Robyn is my fave as its a little more unusual...I think Lauren goes least well with Rose....good luck x

I would also avoid Megan. It looks like a nod to the royal family's newest incoming member and will probably pick up in popularity.

Shame your DH is being so silly about Eloise. Lovely name. His DD's existence would wipe 'a snog' out of mind.

Imagine how many names would be eliminated from usage by people if it's people you happened to kiss once? Ridiculous and grossly overthinking things, there...

I like Megan Rose or Robyn Rose the most. I wouldn't worry about the Meghan Markle thing. I can't remember there being a massive influx in babies named Catherine or Kate after Kate Middleton married Will.
