Nicknames for Jemima

Could Jemima be nicknamed Emmie? If not, what could I use. Not keen on 'Jem' . . . . . . .

I've met a lovely Mima (pronounced My-ma), although I think it was mostly family and close friends who use this nn, everyone else calls her Jemima

I never fail to understand why parents to be think of a name then have to have a nickname straight away. If you don't like the name enough to use it as it is have another name instead Confused
